Community guidelines

• Post your own travels. Your photographs, your trips, your words.
• Be honest about a place. A bad review is welcome; an invented one is not.
• Treat other travellers the way you would at the same table in a hostel.
• Respect the people around you when you photograph them.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. The following is removed whenever we find it, whether it was reported or not:

• Harassment, bullying, threats, or following someone from trip to trip to bother them.
• Hate speech, or attacks on a person because of who they are.
• Sexual content, nudity, and anything involving a child.
• Violence, or content that celebrates or encourages it.
• Spam, scams, fake reviews, and links that lead somewhere other than they say.
• Anything illegal where it happens, including the sale of drugs or weapons.
• Somebody else's photographs, or somebody else's identity.
• Private details about another person — an address, a document, a phone number — without their say.

Every post, comment and message carries a report control, and every author can be blocked from the same menu. A block is immediate: they cannot see your posts or message you, and you will not see theirs. Blocked travellers are listed in the app under Settings.

Reports reach us straight away and are reviewed within 24 hours. Nobody is told who reported them.

When something here has been broken we remove the content, and, depending on what it was, we suspend the account behind it. A suspended account cannot sign back in and its posts stop being shown. Anything involving a child, or a credible threat to someone's safety, is reported to the authorities.
